WTN: Henri the eighth I am...

2014 Henri Jouan Chambolle-Musigny - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny (4/22/2019)
Beguiling aromatics that are both gentle and persistent, precede a palate presence that is similarly light and long. It’s pretty amazing that such a young Burgundy can be so captivating, but the elegance, finesse and weightless depth of this bottle of Chambolle does the trick. It’s one of those wines that I would be happy just to smell, wrapping myself up in the red fruit and floral embrace, but I would never turn down another sip. I managed to control myself enough to drink this over two evenings, and night two was just as good as the initial pop and pour. Enthralling.
