WTN: 2012 and 2013 ESJ

2012 ESJ Fenaughty Syrah
I have a bunch of these that I've been trying to forget about, but this was showing really well so I may start drinking a few more soon. Rich sunny savory CA goodness, but with the structure and delicate aromas you expect from ESJ. Very good times.

2013 ESJ North Canyon Road Syrah
This on the other hand might need more time. Crisper crunchier and more wound-up on the structure. I did give it a decant but we finished within 1 hour of opening, so maybe more happens with more air. Of course the fact that we finished shows that it is far from punishment, but at least I will hold off on opening more for a while.

The 2013 has been a young beast from day one. I keep saying I should check in, and whenever I do it shows as yours did.

I’ll have to pop a 2012 soon...ish.
