After reading various posts, here and elsewhere regarding Syrahs from Bassetti, I was contacted by Paul Grieco, from Hearth restaurant in Manhattan, and he's doing a wine dinner Monday night, the 5th, featuring "New World"Syrahs paired next to Northern Rhone reds. The ESJ '01 Bassetti is one of the wines involved. If anyone's going, I'd love to hear about how the event was. The menu (http://www.restauranthearth.com/syrah.pdf) looks marvelous.
