2012 Ladd Cellars Pinot Noir Anderson Valley - USA, California, North Coast, Anderson Valley (12/28/2018)
Medium weight, with a deep red color, the 2012 Ladd Cellars Pinot Noir Anderson Valley shows cherry and cranberry fruit, as well as light spice tones of cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate is brightly fruity, but measured in sunny sweetness, so that the light tannins can provide ample structure for balance. That all sounds quite clinical, so I’ll note that I very much enjoyed the wine, and so did the other guests who were lucky enough to get a pour. I wish I had two bottles, as a single was insufficient to meet demand.
