1. Malvira Renesium Vino Ottenuto Uve Stramature TrinitaVnyd (12%; 90% Arneis; Matured in Fr.oak for 2 yrs; www.Malvira.com; IndigenousSlctns) Malvira di Damonte/Canale NV: Deep golden/burnished bronze color; intense honeyed/orangey very grapey/passito slight botrytis/peachy beautiful complex nose; soft quite sweet (6%-8% r.s.?) intense grapey/passito very orangey/honeyed slight earthy bit botrytis/peachy/apricotty quite complex flavor; very long/lingering intense orangey/honeyed/passito/grapey slight botrytis/apricotty quite sweet complex finish; seems stronger in the passito character than in the botrytis; reminds a lot of Gomiero's Vignalta Fior d'Arancio OrangeMuscat; a beautiful dessert Arneis at a stupid/silly price. $23.00/hlf (KK)

1. I've been a big fan of the Malvira wines since I discovered their Birbet (off-dry/fizzy Brachetto). A terrific frivolous little wine that's great for people who don't know wine and to accompany charcuterie. Malvira has a fairly extensive tableau of wines but, alas, we don't see many of them here in NM.
