2002 St. Urbans-Hof Piesporter Goldtröpfchen Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer, Mosel (2/1/2007)
Another very nice wine from Nik Weis. What else is new. A little sulphur on the nose blows off after a few minutes to reveal a pure essence of peach and citrus, with an overlay of floral honey. On the palate it's all about peach and honeysuckle with deftly balanced sweetness. This really shows itself as barely off-dry, as the finishing acids take any sense of sweetness away. Delicious wine that is only beginning to hint at what it's got in store.

An astounding deal for the $10 I paid.
