2016 Wind Gap Wines Pinot Noir - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (11/4/2018)Very well put together, young Pinot Noir, with cherry fruit accented by licorice and cinnamon spice tones. There is a sneaky tannic structure, which bodes well for future development. I am sorry to see this bottling disappear, as Pax Mahle exits Wind Gap, but it’s a nice swan song.

Nice note.
I've enjoyed the WG wines.
I've never quite got the buying of the winery whose reputation is about an individual winemaker, without a long term contract with the winemaker.

Well remember that initially it was his winery. The "partnership" was to get access to funding.
Pax is now "his winery." Let's see how long that lasts.
