1. LaClarineFarm al basc Albarino SierraFoothills WW (8 mo. skin contact; U/U; 11.4%; www.LaClarineFarm.com) HasnkBeckmeyer/Somerset 2016: Deep golden/burnshed bronze color; quite cloudy w/ lots of flocculent sediment; some mousey/hantavirus/earthy rather phenolic/resiny/apple cider some smokey/honeyed/orangey rather exotic/complex slight appley/apple cider nose; quite tart/acid very phenolic/resiny/cidery rather tannic/astringent/bitter bit earthy/mousey/honeyed/overripe orange somewhat exotic flavor w/ ample astringent/bitter tannins; very long rather tannic/astringent/bitter quite phenolic/resiny/piney/cidery finish; no fruit here & dominated by the phenolics; a wine only SweetAlice would love; with the spicy food, the wine was somewhat tamed down; too much mousey/hantavirus characer for my tastes. $20.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. OddLots: Bought this because of its eccentric/garish label. The wine is produced by SchiedVnyd from their HamesVlly vnyd, as best I can tell, though it's not shown on their SchiedVnyd WebSite.

2. al basc: When I tried this over the next two days, the nose was not so bad. But on the palate, it was unbelievably sour and the mousey/hantavirus so dominated the palate that it was undrinkable and left a dreadful mousey aftertaste in the mouth that was hard to eradicate.
I first tried this wine a yr ago:
and didn't find it so bad.Tom wrote:2. LaClarine Farm al basc Albarino SierraFoothills WW (8 mo. skin contact; U/U; 11.4%;

Not sure what has happened to this wine, but it seems headed south in a headlong death spiral. Hard to believe that this wine would get any better.
