Wind Gap '15 pinot offer on Garagiste today

by Jenise » Wed Sep 05, 2018 6:35 pm

An amazing $13.92/bottle.

I guess this is the fall-out of Pax Mahle walking away from the brand. I put in my first Garagiste order in years!

Just the straight Sonoma Coast, but still.

That’s the one I like. I was never much of a fan of his SV pinots.

The cleanout is official. Just got an email offer from Wind Gap for 30% off a case purchase with shipping included. 40% off if you buy 2 cases.

With the single case discount, the 2016 Sonoma Coast Pinot would be $17.50. The Trousseau Gris would be $14. There's other stuff as well.

I wish I needed wine.

I know. I don't, but I still ordered a case.

They have had a ton of Wind Gap the past few weeks, I ended up buying a mixed case of Wind Gap including 3 of each:
2014 Wind Gap Pinot Noir “Mi Pente” Sonoma Coast
2014 Wind Gap Sonoma Coast Syrah
2014 Wind Gap Grenache Old-Vine “Sceales Vineyard
2015 Wind Gap Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast

Always liked the style and the prices were hard to beat. I haven't tried the Mi Pente or the Grenache yet, but have had the Pinot and Syrah before so felt good going in for a few randoms...

Kasey, way to go! What site did that come from? I never saw those offers, and I'm envious of your nab on the syrah especially. Did grab some SV chardonnay off Last Bottle a week ago, but this pinot was the only other offer I've seen.

Kasey, another question. I need to do a mileage run before the end of the year and was considering SLC for two nights in early Dec. Is that an insane time of year to visit your town?

Interesting haul Kasey.

I was able to get some 2016 Sonoma Coast Pinot and Syrah direct from what's left of the winery. All in for the case, including shipping was $210.

December can be beautiful in Utah, If a storm comes through it can be Brutal, but usually amazing. Early December isn't bad, late December gets crazy as far as visitors. Love to see you if you make it out here!

For the wines they were all offered through Garagiste over the past few weeks. They were all in the $14 range except for the “Mi Pente” which was around $30. They just re-offered the Pinot yesterday I believe. Reading this thread made me go request 3 more...

Hmm...pretty sure I didn't get those. I'm thinking Garagiste doesn't have me tuned in to all the offers I'd like to be tuned in to. No wonder, if that's the case, that I've hardly ordered anything in the last three or so years. Their algorithms haven't correctly picked up on my interests.

If we book it, we'll definitely make plans to see you and Lisa. Will even bring wine!

You can e-mail Garagiste they can often get previous items, especially just a week out.

Hope to see you in December!

I checked their website yesterday to see if I could look at a list of all offerings, but if that's possible I couldn't find it. Would certainly love some of the syrah.

Seriously, the winery has the 2016 Sonoma Coast Syrah available for about $18 if you get a case.

I'm not on their list, but it wouldn't hurt to call and find out. Will do, thanks.
