Italian DOC chronology?

by Dave Erickson » Tue Jan 30, 2007 12:29 pm

Is there a chronology of Italian DOCs? Somebody asked me when Sannio became a DOC. I guessed 1986, but I have no idea...

That's an informative link, but no chronology.

I found a link to the official chronology here: http://www.answers.com/topic/denominazione-di-origine-controllata

(By the way: Sannio got DOC recognition in 1997, and was modified in 2001.)

What excellent content. Been looking for something like that for some time, thanks. Awful design though :(

The Italian Ministry of Agriculture is not widely regarded for its approach to graphics. :D

The answers.com article doesn't seem to acknowlege the existence of IGT, which suggests it's old.

italianmade.com is straight from the horse's mouth, I use it all the time.
