Peggy et Jean Pascal Buronfosse 2015 Côtes du Jura Chardonnay "Varron." Very bright, malic and citric, but with a broad palate that expands in several directions: toward cider, toward Cheniny wooliness, and toward minerality. This is fresher than my associations with sous voile Jura wines would lead me to expect, but also a little more earthy-rustic than the ouillé versions I've tried, and I like it a lot; it's vibrant and complex and stands up to a lot of strong flavors. Will definitely seek out more from this producer.
