Where did that come from, anyway, that line? Was it the Church Lady on SNL?
ANYWAY, yesterday we wanted a nice red wine to enjoy while sitting around the first fire on the deck this season, so I chose a 2012 Canvasback Cabernet, the WA wine made by Napa's Duckhorn Winery. Many of the big Napa names are establishing themselves here. The last and only other bottle of this we had was in August of 2016 when I found the wine elegant and promising. Today? Four years after release and purchase, it's low acid, resolved tannins and the once-distinct cabernet flavors are evolving toward soy sauce. What a POS! $40 a bottle, and it's over already? I have definitely purchased my last Canvasback.
