I know something of the pain of M. Audouze

Like François Audouze who broke a 1900 Ch. Margaux, I too broke a precious bottle.

This bottle, a magnum, no less, was bought by my parents just two years after my birth, and given to me a few years ago. I was saving it for a special occasion, but instead had to stay home from work to clean up the garage. The wine's color was still robust after eighteen years, but it quickly faded to brown as it spread across the cement floor. Alas.

The dear departed bottle:

In the mid-70's, as a Christmas present, my mother gave me a genuine 1956 "I Like Ike" BBQ apron, which she had in the bottm drawer of a cabinet, probably since she got it in 1956 (She was a die-hard Democrat and Alelai Stephenson fan). Then, one summer day I decided to take it a stag picnic with a bunch of my co-workers. Somehow I drank too much  and when I woke up the next morning it was nowhere to be found. :(

Howie, I think Jim Dietz has your apron! He's still hungover from that party! 8)
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
