2005 St. Urbans-Hof Leiwener Laurentiuslay Riesling Spätlese Feinherb Erste Lage - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer, Mosel (1/28/2007)
Delicious and nearly dry Riesling, with plenty of ripe fruit (peach, pineapple and some citrus zest) and fine acid balance. This is very food friendly as well, given it's low residual sugar. Good value at about $21.

David, could you explain to me the difference between feinherb and halbtrocken? I am not one of those who find German labels confusing, but this one is beyond me.

Feniherb is the term for wines that exceed the maximum allowable residual sugar of halbtrocken (18 g/l) but "taste dry."
I don't think the Urbans-Hof tastes totally dry, but it does not taste sweet.

thanks, I've only had a couple, but that fits-they seemed just a tad offdry.
