I opened a 2006 Sbragia Napa Cabernet Monte Rosso this afternoon but the cork completely crumbled. The wine was fine and very Napa-ish but I was left with a filtering problem. The famous (infamous) light went on and I filtered the wine with a kidney stone filter funnel I needed a few years ago. My wife was a little grossed out but I assured her it was quite clean. I will definitely use this funnel filter again when needed. The wine still needs 2-4 years to reach full maturity but is very enjoyable now
