2009 Rhys Pinot Noir Santa Cruz Mountains - USA, California, San Francisco Bay, Santa Cruz Mountains (3/23/2018)This was served blind, and so absent all the hype and baggage that goes with Rhys. It was really good. It was also distinctive, with interesting pine needle accents to the deep red fruit. Solid acidity and a dash of finishing tannin made for a balanced, complete wine.

Good timing. Was just looking at some second hand Rhys pinots and was wondering if I should trust them this many years out.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
