WTN: The Langhe and winding road

Fresh floral and red fruit elements show significant depth on the palate. It’s beautiful to smell and surprisingly suave in the mouth. There’s some backbone there, so combined with the depth of fruit it has a mid-term future. Stunning bargain in Nebbiolo.

The PdB is one of my go-tos on restaurant lists (even if markup is high, low basis) and always a fair value. This vintage sounds like a step up to "seek out" status

Aldo Vacca recently did an interview with Levi Dalton where he said there really was no reason to declassify the 2016 below the regular Barbaresco. They did it because of the market niche occupied by the Langhe.
