Tried this new wine over the weekend:
1. Chateau Pegau Lone AC: CdR Blanc (13%; 40% Clairette/30% Bourboulenc/20% GrenacheBlanc/10% UgniBlanc; 50 yr old vines in Sourgues) Laurence Feraud 2015: Light gold color; rather earthy/dusty mineral/savory light apple/celery rather interesting nose; quite tart/very tangy/very metallic saline/mineral bit light-weight slight celery/fruit somewhat lean flavor; med.long quite tart/very tangy/bit grapefruity very light celery/celery seed/fruit finish; rather strange CdR Blanc a bit lie smelling the inside of a grapefruit juice can; lots of tangy/metallic character; a rather interesting terroir-driven blanc nothing like a CdP Blanc. $19.50 (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This is a wine from Pegau I'd not seen before. It comes from an old property she & her father purchased in 2012 just outside the CdP boundaries. Even though it's a simple CdR, they run it to the same exacting standards they use on their CdP Dom.Pegau. The Lone name comes from a small stream that borders the property.
