I love Grüner - for the wine itself, but also for the cultural significance it plays on the Austrian winescape. Picked up this one today to have with chicken cutlets.
Bright, light, pale green colour with tiny effervescence rising in the bottle when the cork is unscrewed. Aromas of light citrus and pepper, framed by a diesel-like note that I find more commonly in Rieslings. Very zippy and dry on the palate - a true palate cleanser. Clean and light on the finish. 11.5% alc./vol.
