Too soon? Probably. Worth opening? Definitely.

While still quite primary, and notably tannic, this is showing some lovely red fruit and floral elements, and with food is enjoyable to drink now. There is a great deal of depth, so aging is not a question, but if one is impatient it’s not a crime to open this now.

In a recent interview on Levi Dalton’s I’ll Drink to That podcast, Aldo Vacca claimed the Produttori wines of the new millennium are at their best from 8-12 years old. I am not going to argue with the managing director of the Produttori, but this wines has some serious legs.

That's encouraging. i have a few bottles each of 07 Rio Sordo and Pora, and have been trying to find excuses.
