VillaRussiz LesEnfants Bianco IGT: VeneziaGiulia (13%; www.VillaRussiz.It; 50% Pinot Grigio/25% Pinot Bianco/20% Ribolla Gialla/5% Sauvignon Blanc; WilsonDanielsImports) Capriva del Friuli 2014: Med.light yellow color; fairly fragrant/pineapple/mango/bit spicy light stony/perfumed talc quite attractive nose; fairly tart/tangy rather pineapple/mango/fruity light stony/perfumed talc pleasant flavor; very long tart/tangy bright fruity/pineapply/mango bit floral/apple blossom light stony/chalky crisp/bright finish; a thoroughly delightful bright perfumed white; more character than most PG wines; nothing profound but quite pretty; very fairly priced at $23.00 (AV)

VillaVarda Refosco Grave Dd'OC: Friuli (13%; www.NorthBerkeleyWine.com; L2202) Prata di Pordenone 2015: Very dark color; strong black cherry cola/Refosk/boysenberry/ripe quite perfumed some earthy/dusty light graphite/herbal quite interesting; rather soft slight metallic/tangy rich/lush ripe/Refosk/black cherry cola/blackberry light herbal/thyme slight earthy/loamy pretty classic Refosk flavor w/ light ripe/smooth tannins; very long ripe/lush bit soft classic Refosk/blackberry/black cherry cola bit earthy/graphite/loamy fairly savory finish w/ light smooth/ripe tannins; a pretty classic Friuli Refosk savory great-drinking at a great price. $19.00 (AV)

1. Villa Varda: A new producer for me from NorthBerkeleyImports. Located in the flats just south of Pordenone, looks to be pretty rich/loamy soil w/ lots of mixed agriculture.
