Tried these two over the last two days:
1. Ioppa Nebbiolo DOC: Colline Novaresi (12.5%; GiulianaImports/Boulder) Gianpiero e Giorgio Ioppa/Romagnano Sessia 2014: Med.light color; pleasant lightly floral/Nebb fairly earthy some alcoholic rathe simple nose; quite tart/acid/lean/austere metallic/tannic fairly earthy/dusty slight floral/lilacs/Nebb flavor w/ light brittle/sharp tannins; med.short very acid/tart/screechy lean/austere rather metallic/bitey very slight lilacs/floral/Nebb finish w/ light bitey/crunchy/brittle tannins; an ugly screechy/teeth-chattering little Nebb that captures all the bad features of Nebb in one btl. $14.50 (KK)

Mauro Molino Nebbiolo Dd'OC: Langhe (14%; www.GiulianaImports.com) LaMorra 2016: Light color; very attractive fragrant Nebb/floral/violets light earthy pleasant nose; lightly tart light floral/violets/lilacs fairly delicate light earthy/dusty pleasant flavor w/ light gently slight bitey tannins; med.long bit tart light floral/Nebb/violets/lilacs bit earthy finish w/ light gentle tannins; a very pleasant light-weight Nebb that captures all the delicate floral aspects of Nebb. $21.50 (KK)

1. Both of these Nebbs were on the light/delicate side. The big difference was the impact on the palate. Generally, I like the Ioppas. This one actually hurt to drink. Breathing overnight did not, of course, "soften" the acid & tannins...only made them fiercer.
