Wine rack suggestions?

by Kyrstyn Kralovec » Mon Jan 22, 2007 4:19 pm

Does anyone have the names of any good suppliers where one might order quality wine racks, etc? A co-worker is looking for what he describes as a "modular" wine rack that would fit beneath his basement stairs (so it would need to be able to fit at an angle).

Online retail suggestions welcome!

No personal experience in the area and I suggest waiting until someone else chimes in...

That said I googled this http://www.winerackstore.com/modular-0010/modular.html and this http://www.wineracksamerica.com/
I can certainly see that you know your wine. Most of the guests who stay here wouldn't know the difference between Bordeaux and Claret.

Highly recommend Kedco Wine Storage Systems, 564 Smith St., Farmingdale, NY 11735; 631-454-7800; 631-454-4876.

We bought a rack from them for a similiar space ten years ago and even moved it with no problem, and it now stands under the cellar stairs of our new home.

Thanks, Carl! I'll pass that one along to my friend, also.

I would also recommend Kedco. I don't live too far from them, and had them customize a rack many years ago that I still love.

I always enjoy walking through Kedco’s (aka Brew’s Brothers) showroom to gain access to the Beer and Wine Making supply shop located in the back of their warehouse

The Swedish pine wine racks from The Wine Enthusiast are what I have in my cellar.
