Seresin Sauvignon Blanc 2003 Marlborough NZ - Plenty of ripe guava on the nose. It has a good deal of body; more than most SB. As a result it's rather expansive and full in the mouth. Good fruit and acid make a very nicely balanced wine for drinking now.

Havens Bourriquot 2002 Napa Valley - Cheval Blanc blend of 2/3 Cabernet Franc and 1/3 Merlot. No need to swirl this. Strong scents of coffee, chocolate and berries are immediately apparent. Full bodied with a predominantly bittersweet chocolate profile. An hour of airing also reveals some herbal character. Already soft and approachable, I can still see this improving and aging for a few more years. Not really complex at this point but it seems like it will develop more with age. Finishes long. Excellent wine.

thanks for notes. I generally like the Bourriquot, though I haven't seen the '02 yet

Two great wines there. Seresin's a favorite kiwi that I get to drink all too rarely, and Bourriquot is a favorite Napa wine.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
