WTN: say that ten times fast

Jurtschitsch 2015 Kamptal Grüner Veltliner, 1er Lage Loiserberg, Reserve. $40. Bright, crisp, pleasant, citrus and sweet apple and just a touch of white pepper, but with a dilute and unfocused finish. Perfectly nice wine but barely distinguishable as a Grüner, and compared to the Knoll and Groiss 2015s I've had lately, this is lacking in concentration and character; I'd be happy to drink it again for $15 but it's certainly not worth $40.

$15 is actually pretty close to the German/Austrian retail price (15-17euros).

But alas you'd first need to spring for the plane ticket.

I'll bet I'd find it outclassed for its price in Europe, too. I haven't checked to see what it sells for elsewhere in the US; I've occasionally found the markups at this particular shop unfathomable.
