WTN: '05 Jadot Beaujolais Villages

2005 Louis Jadot, Beaujolais Villages ($9.99 NH Liq Store). Alcohol level: 12.5%.

It treats the eye to a beautiful garnet color. It gives you overripe strawberries, some red raspberries, and even violets on the nose and upfront. A simple complexity of plum, light doses of cinnamon and pepper, and dusty earth cross the palate, and the finish is a “thank you mam.”

We matched it with well seasoned burgers with onions in EVOO and whole wheat buns, and salad on the side.

Carl,

Louis usually does a very solid job with the Beaujolais Village. The summer before last we drank a case and a half of the '04. I kind of lost touch with it for some reason. I'll have to grab some of the '05.

Thanks,
Sam

Hi Carl,

I just had the '05 Jadot Beaujolais the other night...it always goes so well with whatever I am eating! Thanks for the TN.
