This producer is certainly on a tear. I can't seem to read anything about Austrian wines without a blip about Birgit Eichinger. This is an exotically fruit-flavored chardonnay: Juicy Papaya and Pineapple, stony, steely mineral, lots of Chablis-like acidity and a lively, spritzy CO2 freshness. Great stuff to re-invigorate the ABC crowd. 13% alc. $20

A new name to me Bill so I did a google. Have to speak a few languages to read all the info!!! This lady seems to be on top form, who is the importer in your area? Others may want to buy I`d say.
Bill, thanks for yet another great Austrian note. Austrian Chardonnay - we don't get any here in Toronto, though this one really sounds good. I have always enjoyed Austrian whites and pretty much buy them blind every time. The reds are just as interesting for me, so you might say that the only Austrian wines I don't buy are the stickies.
