My Ojai shipment arrived Fri, so I pobega'd:
1. OjaiVnyd Chard SolomonHillsVnyd/SantaMariaVlly (13.0%) 2015: Med.gold color; strong melony/Chard/celerey seed light smokey/pencilly/oak slight chalky/perfumed talc quite attractive nose; fairly tart/acid some chalky/mineral/perfumed talc some melony/Chard/celery/celery seed crisp/bright flavor; very long tart/acid crisp/brisk light melony/Chard/celery seed light pencilly/oak/smokey some perfumed talc/mineral/chalky finish; not at all lean/eviscerated but not terribly profound either; a bright/nervy/high-energy that needs 4-8 yrs of age. $30.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Adam has changed his style of winemaking of whites over the last few yrs; picking early, higher acidity. Some, expecially the Rieslings, can be a bit painful to drink and have a screechingly high acidity. This Chard was not one of those. It was just a bright/energytic Chard that really needs age.

Celery seed sounds distinctly underripe.
