2014 Hirsch Vineyards Pinot Noir West Ridge - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (4/15/2017)Elegant as well as flavorful, the West Ridge Pinot Noir shows bright strawberry and cherry fruit buffered by bright acidity as well as some sneaky tannin. There's an earthy tone that creeps in on the mid-palate, but it's pretty much fruit driven right now. The well balanced structure bodes well for a moderate amount of age. I look forward to trying this again in 5-7 years.
