2014 Etude Chardonnay Benoist Vineyard Napa
I almost don't know the words to describe the elegance and power of this chardonnay. It's light in color and absent the usual tropical flavors and sweetness of California, more Burgundian, but with Grand Cru concentration and intensity. It's big without being BIG, you could say. I bought 8 or 10 bottles to put into a neighborhood tasting later this summer but I'm sorry, it won't last that long.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
