Tried this Fri night w/ Susan:
1. Bedrock Riesling WirzVnyd/CienegaVlly (Plntd: 1963; Dry-pharmed, own-rooted; 13.5%; www.BedrockWineCo.com) Sonoma 2016: Med.light yellow color; very fragrant R/mineral/chalky bit Mosel-like/flinty some pineapple/floral very interesting attractive nose; very tart/tangy rather chalky/mineral/stony/flinty quite dry bit metallic light floral/apple/pineapple/R flavor; very long/lingering very tart/tangy/metallic/steely rather stony/mineral/flinty austere light pineapple/floral/R very dry/austere finish; a tart/lean/mineral terroir-driven R that needs age & will go out 10 yrs or more; reminds a lot of a Mosel R w/o the flowery R; a bit of an AltoAdige R; some of the old StonyHill R's; a pretty atypical Calif R that I really like. $23.00

1. This is, I believe, Morgan's first Riesling. I'm finding every once & awhile I find a Calif R that really resonates w/ me. This is one such. I hope he will continue w/ it.
