WTN: 2008 Kabinett

2008 Van Hovel Riesling Kabinett Scharzhofberg, wonderful gulppable Riesling in great shape. Consumed tonight with chicken tortolinni and Shitakes in a sauce, a fine complament to the meal. Color was medium straw and nose and palate were mostly about citrus and apple with some pear on the finish but the acidity was bright and not at all tart but savory. Lots of fine and b-b sized tartrate dust and crystals. More spatlese in RS but the acidity balanced it all. abv of 7.5% imported by Rudi Wiest
