2012 Thrall Pinot Noir. Anderson Valley. A small wine project-I met the winemaker at Two Shepherds in Windsor at one of their events.
A very interesting Pinot. Slightly funky, even a little bit of spritz? Piercing pomegranate Anderson Valley fruit-very pretty fruit, indeed. Bracing acidity went very well with the Irish Wine Killer of a meal.

2013 Poe Sonoma Mountain Pinot Noir. This is from Cabernet Country! Yet, this was a stunning wine, pure in its black fruit, yet not over extracted at all, not alcoholic, not sweet. Instead, like the Thrall, there is a savoriness to this wine that went very well with the savory strangeness of The Man In the High Castle!

*I want to like Scribe-they check all the boxes, but I just cannot get that excited about the actual wine!
