2014 Château Lanessan - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Haut-Médoc (3/18/2017)
This is a recent arrival, so opening one for a quick check. Deep ruby color, bright red and black fruit with a touch of wood spice, and slightly drying tannins sum up the wine at this point. It's evolving in the glass even after just a few minutes, so there is certainly more there, waiting to come out. Hints of tobacco and earth confirm it. I like the overall balance, and think this will be a fine companion at the dinner table.
