by TomHill » Tue Mar 14, 2017 10:20 am

This arrived in my PrimaIlConsorzio shipment ystrday so I Pobega'd:
1. RaptorRidge PinotGris WillametteVlly/OR (13.9%; www.RaptorRidgeWinery.com) Newberg 2015: Light gold color; quite perfued/fragrant strong mango/floral/PG/spicy slight cinammon/nutmeg quite attractive nose; bit soft lush/rich floral/PG/dried mango/ripe light spicy/nutmeg attractive flavor; somewhat soft/rich/lush/ripe strong floral/dried mango/PG spicy/bit nutmeg/piney finish; maybe a bit simple and mostly juicy fruit but a quite pleasant PG at a very good price. $15.18 (PrimaIlC)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This was described as an Alsatian-style PG. Well...it's not a blend/bland PinotGrigio, but Alsatian seems a bit of a stretch. Maybe a low-end Z-H low-acid PG. But it lacks the minerality I like in Alsatian PG. Still...a very nice PG at a very good price.
