I wanna know why you drink wine. What makes wine more special than other drinks?

All other drinks, soda, beer, spirits, milk, water, do NOT evolve (in a good way) over time and seem simple (non-complex) by comparison. Some 20+ year old wines are sublime but everything noted above would be dead except the water and spirits and they would be unchanged from time of purchase.

Funny, I just asked Donald Trump the same question and you know what he said? He said, he did not have to tell me why he drank wine. And he did not have to tell me why he drank beer, either. And then he asked me if I was a friendly wine drinker.

Greetings from Sweden / Fredrik L

Unfortunately, Fredrik, The Donald is and has always been a tea-totaler and that may explain a lot!

He may not drink beverage alcohol, but I think it's widely accepted that a lot of mood-altering substance goes up his nose.

I enjoy cocktails of various kinds and I really enjoy iced tea with lemon and/or lime juice (not sweet tea) but I like the way wine can enhance food and food can increase the enjoyment of wine. I also like the endless variety of wine--never buy by the case but usually from one to three bottles of a particular wine--occasionally up to six. You can choose a particular wine to suit a mood, or occasion or to complement what you are having for dinner. I am also constantly learning about wine. I have no desire to "learn" about soft drinks.

The question to ask is not 'Why?', but to ponder 'Why Not?'
