A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. It's been no secret that DCV has been on a roll the last few yrs under TimBell. The HeritageZin is always been my go-to Zin when somebody asks for a good Zin at a fair price. It's a good value at $22, but you can often find it discounted in the $16-$17 price range. We were buying the '14 at (a mis-priced) $12/btl here in NM and took advantage of the screw-up by National. We are bad people.

Yup, David. Not because of the age of the vines, but that DuffBevill planted that vnyd 20 yrs ago
using a bunch of different Heritage clones taken from old Zin vnyds there in the DCV. The label
fully explains that that's where the "Heritage" comes from.

Your note on the the Heritage zin reminded me that I had picked up a bottle last week. Opened it night before last and it was quite enjoyable over two nights. Any idea on aging potential for this or other DRV wines?

Not sure on the Heritage Zin, Doug. It should go out 3-5 yrs. Not sure it'll get a whole lot better. DCV makes some very good Cabs that age quite well.
