Tried last night w/ my leftover Pasta al Forno:
1. l'Aventure Cote a Cote Estate/PasoRobles (40% Grenache, 40% Syrah, 20% Mourvedre; 15.9%;
http://www.AventureWine.com) 2004: Very dark color w/ slight browning; some alcoholic/fumey very ripe/plummy/blackberry/Syrah/boysenberry some toasty/charred/oak rather PR/jammy/overripe nose; rather hot/alcoholic/burney overripe/plummy/boysenberry/blackberry/Syrah/licorice pruney/PR/jammy flavor w/ light ripe/soft tannins; very long rather hot/alcoholic overripe/jammy/boysenberry/blackberry/Grenache soft/fat/porky some toasty/oak/burnt finish w/ modest ripe/soft tannins; a rather hot/alcoholic overripe/jammy/boysenberry Syrah; the alcohol is really coming out & will only get worse; this is how Philippe Cambie would make CdP in Paso if he could; way overpriced at $83.00 (LCSWS)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This is the wnry of Stephan Asseo. He has always made wines in a big style of Saxum/etc. And pricey. Just not my cup of tea.
