Gray Ghost Petit Verdot 2013 Virginia
Not many varietal Petit Verdots around. This one is a cracker.
This was the one that most impressed me when I visited the winery for a tutored tasting with AWS in 2015. Had it last night with roast chicken.
Beautiful rich sleek mouthfeel, ripe full bodied fruits, well blanaced with subtle oak from French oak barrels. Unfortunae;y I could carry home just this one bottle.
