Was not much left of the Carlisle/Carlisle after my visit to John, so, rummaging thru my stash, I came upon:
1. Core hard core SBC (55% Mourv/25% Grenache/20% CabSauv; 120 cs; www.CoreWine.com; 15.7%) CoreWineCo/SantaMaria 2002: Very dark/bit cloudy light bricking color; very strong plummy/Mourv light earthy some cedary/pencilly/oldRed rather spicy/cinammon bit herbal/rosemary/garrigue smokey/toasty/oak quite complex very attractive nose; bit soft strong plummy/Mourv/very spicy almost Zin-like light toasty/smokey/oak some cedary/pencilly/oldRed bit earthy/garrigue lovely flavor w/ light bit sharp tannins; very long somewhat soft bit tangy/metallic/oldRed/cedary strong plummy/Mourv rather complex finish w/ light smooth tannins; reminds a lot of old Languedoc Mourv but w/ more fruit; a bit like an old Tempier but more fruit; starting to show a few signs of its age but drinking quite well now.

1. I used to see DaveCorey all the time at HdR and would try his wines there. I generally liked them quite a bit. But since then, his wines have sort of dropped off my radar. I need to go revisit his current wines.
