I had an xtra btl of this, so shared w/ John ystrday:
1. Carlisle Zin CarlisleVnyd/RRV/SonomaCnty (15.0%; Plntd: 1927 by AlcidePellitti; +PS/GrandNoir/AlicanteBouschet/Tempranillo/Peloursin; 680 cs) 2014: Med.dark color; very strong blackberry/raspberry/Zin very spicy/bit peppery quite dusty/OV very light toasty/oak quite perfumed complex nose; fairly tart very strong blackberry/raspberry/Zin very spicy/bright/peppery quite dusty/OV light oak complex/OV flavor w/ some ripe/tangy tannins; very long/lingering somewhat tart/tangy very strong bright/blackberry/raspberry/Zin very spicy/peppery quite dusty/OV light oak finish w/ modest ripe tannins; no signs of alcoholic heat at all; not as big/extracted as previous versions and more restrained/elegant; a beautiful Zin that should go out 10-15 yrs; surprisingly drinkable now. $44.70

1. I was quite taken by this latest Carlisle/Carlisle. It seemed almost more of a DryCreekVlly/bright/raspberry Zin than deep/blackberry RRV Zin. Mighty fine drinking it is.
