Tried this this afternoon as I was making PumpkinSoup:
1. LesPallieres Terrasse du Diable AC: Gigondas (Avg.vine age: 45 yrs; 90% Grenache/5% Mourv/5% Clairette; 14.5%) F&D Brunier/K.Lynch 2007: Med.dark color w/ slight bricking; strong pungent/earthy/dusty rather ripe/Grenache/plummy/very ripe bit alcoholic slight herbal/garrigue not very complex nose; very soft quite ripe/plummy/Grenache pungent/licorice rather earthy/garrigue slight complex bit alcoholic flavor w/ light smooth/ripe tannins; med.long soft/porky very ripe/plummy/Grenache/licorice rather pungent/garrigue/rough dusty/earthy finish w/ light ripe tannins; all about ripeness and lacks structure; no signs of fading/aging, but not my cup of tea. $32.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. When KermitLynch partnered w/ the Bruniers in 1998 to purchase this property, I was very excited that we'd see some exciting wines coming from this venerable estate. Alas, they've never quite delivered on my high expectations. The wines have been decent examples of Gigondas..but just that, nothing more. Oh...well.
