Had this also Fri night:
1. Dr.Heger Silvaner IhringerWinkleberg (Q; dry; A.P.Nr. 311-12-15; 12%) Weingut Dr.Heger/Ihringen/Kaiserstuhl/Baden 2014: Light golden color; pleasant Silvaner/flowery bit spicy/slatey bit stony/chalky fairly fragrant nose; lightly tart/tangy/metallic light floral/Silvaner/spicy light stony/chalky flavor; med.short light stony/chalky some floral/Silvaner finish; a rather pleasant bit innocuous/simple/bland Sylvaner w/ not a lot of interesting character.

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. I had a few weeks from Heger an ersatz (non-Austrian) Gemischer Schatz (wrong spelling) that I thought unbelievably bland/boring/dull. This looked like a higher-end wine. It was, but not by much. For the price, you can do way/way far better from the Mosel.

Pity, my Brennfleck from Franken was delicious.

And 2014 was not the best year.

Regardless, I know Dr. Heger gets high marks from many people but in my dabblings (including GG spatburgunder and riesling) I have yet to be fully convinced.
