Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to everyone. I had a nice Italian dinner last night with Mary Jo's family and am hosting brunch here today for my family. And I'm thankful that I'm starting to enjoy wines again.
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.

As my Music Camp friends might say: Peace, all y'all!

Jenise: All 4 of our cats certainly took your advice.., including one who looks like a sibling to David's cats..Our Calico, Dolce, was happy chowing down on some of last night's chicken, for lunch today.

Happy holidays for the remainder of Hannukah and through New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. I visited my sister and brother-in-law in Iowa for a few days prior to Christmas and we drove to Ames, Iowa for dinner with high school friends. Also had a good dinner at the Country Club. Wines were enjoyable if not mind bending. I returned to North Carolina in time for Christmas Eve service at my church (got home at 12:30 AM) and Christmas Day service at 10:30 AM. A quiet Christmas Day with recent reminder of the reason for the season. Attended Christmas parties on Dec. 16 and 18 and furnished a white and a red wine for both parties.

I was down in Medicine Hat for Christmas and seem to have come home with more wines that I took down! That is what a visit to Costco will do for you eh. My friends are not big wine drinkers and all seem to find Wolf Blass Yellow label Shiraz to their liking, . In fact it was not that undrinkable (whisper), however the Yalumba Y Series Viognier was OK but the hit for me was a Rustenberg Sauv Blanc from S Africa.

Happy New Year to everyone!
