Cracked this also last night:
1.eno A7 Calif RW (14.5%) Berkeley NV: Dark color; strong blackberry/plummy/spicy/peppery some dusty/OV/earthy light smokey/oak bit jammy/ripe slight Rhonish bit complex quite attractive nose; lightly tart/lean rather plummy/blackberry/Syrah/GSM bit dusty/OV light smokey/Rhonish bit mature/complex flavor w/ light tangy tannins; very long light smokey/Rhonish rather plummy/blackberry/Syrah slight dusty/earthy light toasty/oak finish w/ light firm tannins; a fairly mature GSM blend that's very nice drinking right now & probably won't get much better; quite a pleasant/attractive GSM red at a great price (some yrs ago). $15.00 (WoP)

1. eno is the wine of SashaVerhage. He makes his wine in Berkeley on CameliaSt, mostly focused on PinotNoir and Rhone varieties. His A7 is his value wine of barrels that didn't make the cut. He's located in the original wnry bldg of SteveEdmunds. Steve returned to this location to make his R&G wine, but w/ the demise of that wine, will no longer be there, instead making wine only up at Skinner in ElDorado.
I've followed Sasha from the very start when I met him down at HdR. Alas, I don't follow him closely enough and only try his wines here&there when I run into them. I am such a slacker.

Steve actually makes his wine at a winery that is not Skinner, but not far away.
I don't know just how I'm supposed to play this scene, but I ain't afraid to learn...
