I have been ripping through all the wines I neglected to get to while overseas. I'm intentionally going after ones that should be toast by now and frequently they are. However this 2000 Sang des Cailloux Vacqueyras was still going strong. Ruby red and all that great Grenache funk..... a very pleasant surprise.
I have become interested again in the little brothers of CdP.... Gigondas and wines like this little scrapper

2000 was a very user friendly vintage that has been surprising in its longevity. I still have a number of Gigondas and CNdP, and they have all been drinking well.

What Dave said. Hope you find more gems!
