When to drink?

Hi, iv'e just recieved a presentation box of Rioja as a gift, and would like to know how long i can keep it for or should i drink it now?. The box contains six bottles consisting of, marques de arienzo Gran Reserva, marques de Arienzo Reserva Especial, Marques de Villamagna Gran Reserva, Alcorta Reserva, Siglo Gran Reserva, and finally Azpiliueta Reserva. I would be grateful of anybodys knolwedge thankyou.

The vintages are marques de arienzo Gran Reserva 1996, marques de Arienzo Reserva Especial2000, Marques de Villamagna Gran Reserva1999, Alcorta Reserva200, Siglo Gran Reserva1998, and finally Azpiliueta Reserva 2001.

Simon, some of these bottles I have not tasted, but knowing what I do about the rest I would suggest drinking over the next ten years. None of them need aging, but wines like Arienzo are on the woody side and benefit from time to smooth out.

So, if you've got a cellar and want to age them, go for it. If you don't have proper conditions, drink 'em over the next 6 months (starting with the Azpilicueta and Alcorta).
