WTN: A Bordeaux and Cal Cab.

In celebration of my harvesting a doe last night, I opened a 2005 Ch. Le Conseiller, a Bordeaux made by Janoueix. This was part of a case that I hoped was finally mellowing out. Good fruit and good tannin structure but great CORKEDNESS also. Oh well, down the drain and on to;

2006 Coniglio Napa Cabernet; plum and herb on the nose as I write, palate opens to lots of cassis and the herbalness is gone. That herbal quality on the nose is quite nice, kinda sage-like. My last and only bottle but something nice to commemorate a beautiful deer that did not die in vain! Again this is a wine I just love to smell! abv of 15.2% but not hot at all.
