WTN: For he's a jolly good Fellom

2010 Arnot-Roberts Cabernet Sauvignon Fellom Ranch - USA, California, San Francisco Bay, Santa Cruz Mountains (11/30/2016)
The most notable aspect of this Cabernet is the brightness of the fruit. Initially it almost seemed volatile/over acidic, but 45 minutes of air brought it around to a neon berry/cassis profile that cut across the palate as if it was a Riesling. Fascinating profile for a Cabernet. The acidity keeps the copious fruit in check, and the back end tannins say "cellar me" in a loud and clear voice. It was really interesting to get a peek at this wine, but I see no reason to touch another bottle for at least 5 more years.
