If I recall correctly, 1996 produced exceptionally forceful and concentrated red wines in the Cote d'Or. Hudelot-Noellat's 1996 Richebourg is everything one could want in a Burgundy Grand Cru. It exhibits a near-perfect balance of power and grace. I can't imagine it showing any better than it did on Thanksgiving day, but I'd say it has another decade or so at its peak. Triple Curly with an extra woo-woo-woo!
